Non-banking financial companies grant EUR 149 mln loans in Romania in Q1
Non-banking financial companies in Romania granted loans totaling EUR 149 million between January and March this year, up by a third compared to the same period in 2015.
The increase was due to higher consumer confidence in the economy, according to the Romanian Financial Companies Association – ALB.
Over 90% of the loans’ value, the equivalent of EUR 135.4 million, went to finance consumption whereas 6.1% represented industrial loans. Funding for buying cars had the lowest share, with only 1.8% of the total financing.
