Non-government loans go up by 1.9% in Romania
The non-government loans granted by credit institutions increased by 1.9% in November compared to October, and by 2.3% year-on-year, according to data from Romania’s National Bank (BNR). The total loans reached RON 218.5 billion (some EUR 48 billion) at the end of November.
The RON-denominated loans went up by 2.2% month-on-month in November whereas the foreign currency-denominated loans rose by 1.6% when expressed in RON and by 1.3% when expressed in EUR.
The government credit increased by 2.4% month-on-month in November, to RON 86.43 billion (some EUR 19 billion), according to BNR data. When compared to the same month last year, the increase was of 4.9%.
The deposits of non-government resident customers went up by 1.6% month-on-month, to RON 237.35 billion (EUR 52 billion) in November 2015.
The RON-denominated household deposits increased by 1.3% in November compared to October, while RON-denominated corporate deposits (non-financial corporations and non-monetary financial institutions) increased by 3.6%.
