Non-government loans go up by 1.1% in Romania
The value of household and corporate loans increased by 1.1% in June compared to May, but dropped by 0.1% compared to June 2014.
Non-government loans reached EUR 48.6 billion in June, according to Romania’s Central Bank. The loans in Romanian currency lei increased by 3.9%, whereas the credit in foreign currency dropped by 1.4% in June compared to May.
The household credits in lei recorded the biggest increase of 5%, whereas the corporate loans in lei went up by 3%.
Compared to June 2014, the non-government loans in lei increased by 13.2%, whereas those in foreign currency dropped by 9.8%.
