Norwave cinema at Norwegian Movie Days next week

European movie lovers will be able to watch representative Norwegian films at the upcoming Norwegian Movie Days in Bucharest between October 27 and 29, at the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR). The event, organized by the Norwegian Embassy to Bucharest and ICR, will include five movies with free entry. They will be preceded by a seminar moderated by movie critic Andrei Gorzo, debating the new tendencies and ambitions of Norwegian cinema. Jan Erik Holst, responsible with international cultural project with the Norwegian Film Institute will also attend the event. The seminar will take place on October 27, from 18,00 hours, at the ICR headquarters (38 Aleea Alexandru, Bucharest) MAP

Much like the Romanian cinema productions, Norwegian movies have captured international attention, creating a new wave in the international cinema – Norwave. It all started with the Oscar nomination of Norwegian production 'Elling', followed by other feature length movies and documentaries.
