Number of dental tourists to Romania doubles
The number of people who came to Romania especially for cheaper dental services doubled last year compared to 2014, according to a Bucharest-based chain of dental clinics, quoted by the Romanian media.
A foreigner pays on average EUR 4,800 for complex services, mostly for implants, in Romania.
The dental tourism has developed in Romania due to dental implant centers, as well as to prices, which are two, even three times smaller in Romania compared to Western Europe.
Many of the dental tourists come from Italy and are aged around 50.
