One consortium interested in brokering stock exchange listing of Romania's electricity distributor Electrica
A single consortium made of Citigroup, Raiffeisen Capital&Investment, BRD, Société Générale and Swiss Capital submitted an offer to broker the listing of Romania's electricity distribution company Electrica.
The Romanian Government approved the sale of 51.2 percent in the company on the stock exchange, via a capital raise, for at least EUR 485 million. This could turn the listing into one the largest so far in the history of the stock exchange in Romania, and the biggest when it comes to the size of the share package sold.
Electrica group of companies had a turnover of EUR 1.7 billion in 2012 and a profit of some EUR 230 million.
