Following high interest from a large number of potential investors interested in the Tarnita-Lapustesti hydro power plant project, the project company Hidro Tarnita SA has decided to extend the deadline to submit documents. The deadline was extended by almost a month, from October 31 to November 27, 10:00, reports local Dailybusiness.ro.

The Tarnita-Lapustesti hydro power plant is a key objective of the short and medium term development strategy for the energy sector, included in the Romanian Energy Strategy for 2007-2020. This should be a greenfield project, and will require some EUR 1 billion in investment.
