One World Romania documentary film festival, in Bucharest from March 16

The fourth edition of the documentary film festival One World Romania, dedicated to human rights, will take place from March 16 to 21 in Bucharest. As many as 36 films from 25 countries will be screened. Movies are grouped into six sections and will be screened at four cinemas in downtown Bucharest - Cinema Eforie, Union Cinema, Cinema Corso and the cinema of the Romanian Peasant Museum.

Among most awarded films in the official One World Romania 2011 selection are “Enemies of the People”, “El Sicario – Room 164” and “My Perestroika”. Of the total numbers of movies, 33 will be screened for the first time in Romania. Furthermore, two Romanian productions – “Corlatului Valley” (Valea Corlatului-  still image from the movie in picture) directed by Stephane Lucon and “After the revolution” (Dupa revolutie) directed by Laurentiu Calciu, will be premiered during the One World Romania.

The festival is organized by One World Romania, in collaboration with the Czech Centre and is under the patronage of former Czech president, Vaclav Havel. One World debuted in 1999 in Prague and later spread to many cities around the world.
