Online travel agency ups turnover in Romania by half

Online travel agency Vola posted a total turnover of EUR 63.2 million in all the four countries where it operates, namely Romania, Poland, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

In Romania, the company saw a turnover of about EUR 43 million, up by 54% compared to 2014.

The agency expects to increase the business by 30-40% for the Romanian platform this year. This would lead to a turnover of EUR 55-60 million. At group level, the business would exceed EUR 85 million, according to Wall-Street.ro.

Vola’s main competitor Paravion posted a turnover of EUR 46 million in all the markets where it’s active. The activity in Romania has a share of 67%, namely EUR 30.8 million.
