Opera and film at Corvinilor Castle in Hunedoara, Romania this week

The Opera Nights International Festival, the first outdoor opera festival in Romania, will take place at Corvinilor Castle in Hunedoara (in picture), Romania, between July 3 to 10, 2011. The program of the festival will include several opera performances, film screenings, exhibitions and concerts.

The Opera Gala will begin Friday, July 8, starting 21:00 hours, in the courtyard of Corvinilor Castle with a performance of the "Oleg Danovski" Opera and Ballet National Theatre in Constanta. On Saturday, July 9, the festival participants will be able to watch the concert "Musical Jewels" of the orchestra and choir of the theater in Constanta , while Sunday "La Traviata" by Giuseppe Verdi will end the festival.

Tickets for the opera performances can be purchased from the Deva Art Theatre, "Dragan Muntean" House of Culture Deva and Corvinilor Castle in Hunedoara, for RON 20 per show or RON 50 for a full-acces subscription. The access to the castle for Dracula Nights film projections during the festival will cost RON 3.
