Oradea Shopping City to be opened this fall in Romania with EUR 50 mln investment
Oradea Shopping City, a project developed by Shopping Center Holding SRL, will be opened this fall in Oradea, Romania, following an investment of EUR 50 million, the company has announced.
The new shopping center will have six cinemas with 3D projection system and Dolby Surround equipment, occupying a total space of 2,300 sqm. There will also be a bowling centre, a pool zone and a playground for children. “Through the mix of retail, that brings together names like Famous Brands, Bigotti, Penta, Samsonite, Coccodrillo, Domo, Gloria Jean's and more, Oradea Shopping City completes the value of the entertainment with the one of the retail section”, said Bogdan Jigman, general manager at Oradea Shopping City.
The new shopping center in Oradea covers a total area of 30,000 sqm, containing 22,000 sqm of retail space, an area of 6,000 sqm dedicated to the entertainment, an area for fast food and restaurants of 2,000 sqm, and a parking for 1,000 cars. Oradea Shopping City was the former Tiago Mall, bought by Shopping Center Holding SRL, at an auction held in 2010.According to Romania media reports, the Shopping Center Holding is owned by Gabriel Popoviciu, who is also the owner of the Baneasa Shopping City in Bucharest.
