OST Fest to bring Norway’s band Dimmu Borgir to Bucharest next year
Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir will perform in Romania on June 15, 2012. Their concert will be held during the OST Fest to be held in Bucharest at Zone Arena, between June 15 and June 17, 2012.
Dimmu Borgir is a Norwegian black metal band from Oslo, formed in 1993 by Shagrath, Silenoz and Tjodalv. The band’s name comes from a volcanic formation in Iceland, Dimmuborgir.
Their debut album “For All Tid” was released in 1994, while the band’s last album “Stormblast” which features all lyrics written and sung in Norwegian, was released in 1998.
The first album in English was out in 2003 and is named “Death Cult Armageddon”.
Since the band was founded until now, Dimmu Borgir’s members have changed, the band currently being formed of Shagrath, on his real name Stian Thoresen (voice, guitar, bass, drums), Silenoz, on his real name Sven Atle Kopperud (guitar), Mustis, on his real name Qyvind Mustapart, ICS Vortex (bass), and Galder, on his real name Thomas Rune Andersen (guitar). Tickets for this event will be available starting November 3, 2011, at Biletoo store in Unirea Shopping Center, Adevarul and Eminescu bookstores, Flanco, Victoria, and Muzica stores, Sala Palatului, Palatul National al Copiilor, and Unirii 1 metro station, or online from www.biletoo.ro and www.blt.ro. Information on ticket prices are yet to be announced.
