Otopeni Airport adds new EUR 60 mln passenger terminal

The National Bucharest Airports Company (CNAB) opened on Tuesday a new passenger terminal at Henri Coanda Airport (Otopeni), an investment of EUR 60 million covered by the company's own sources.  The new terminal has 24 boarding gates and an area of ​​16,600 sqm.

This was the third stage of the program “Development and Modernization of Henri Coanda International Airport”, for which the work started in 2009. The completion of this third stage will increase the processing capacity of 6 million passengers per year, compared to the current 4.5 million. The new passenger terminal was designed to meet the requirements of Romania's accession to the Schengen area.
