Bucharest prepares for Romania's national day
This year, 1,500 service men and women will take part in preparations for the annual military parades in Bucharest on Romania's national day, December 1. Preparations will be made on November 26 and November 28 in the Arcului de Triumf Square for the upcoming Romanian national day and roads in the area will be closed.
According to the Ministry of National Defense (MApN) additional funds of RON 400,000 (a little under EUR 100,000) were approved for the military parade on December 1, but the exact cost of the parades will only be known after the event.
The Bucharest Road Brigade reported that the movement of vehicles will be restricted in the city near the area Arcul de Triumf on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (November 26, 27, 28).
Also the traffic will be restricted temporarily on Ion Mincu Str. and the Aviatorilor and Ion Mihalache boulevards. Stopping and parking will be prohibited near the Monument of the Infantryman on the Kiseleff road on November 25 , 20.00, November 26, 14:00, November 27, 20.00, November 28, 14.00, November 30, 20.00 and December 1 at 14.00.
