Over 27,000 vacant jobs in Romania in the second quarter of this year
Romania had 27,700 job vacancies in the second quarter, up 400 jobs from the previous quarter and 3,400 compared to April-June 2010, according to the Romanian National Statistics Institute (INS). Almost one third of all vacancies are in the manufacturing sector, over 11 percent in health and social care, and nearly 11 percent in the public administration.
The employers had the lowest demand for labor in the mining sector, and in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning activities, with 20 vacancies, respectively 80 job vacancies.
Compared with same period in 2010, in April-June, 2011, the number of job vacancies had significant increases in manufacturing, up 1,700 vacancies, and in wholesale and retail, up 1,100 posts.
