Over 50 Middle East immigrants saved from Romania’s Black Sea
A boat with dozens of immigrants from the Middle East was recently intercepted by the border police in Romania. The boat was close to rolling over because of the weight.
On July 23, the border police identified a boat in the Black Sea, without any flag, about 18 nautical miles from the beach in Vama Veche seaside resort, in the joint Romanian-Bulgarian patrol area, reports local Digi24. The boat was approaching Romania’s territorial waters.
A total of 54 people were found aboard, including five women and 15 children. They were taken in at the headquarters of Constanta Ships Group.
