Owners of Therme Bucharest spa complex invest EUR 10 mln to expand it
Austrian group A-Heat, which owns the spa complex Therme Bucharest, will invest another EUR 10 million in the project.
It plans to open a new extension connected to the Galaxy area, one of the spa’s compartments, by the end of this year, reports local Ziarul Financiar.
The number of employees will also grow. Therme currently has 500 people working in the complex.
“The number of visitors has exceeded that of any of our group’s projects in Europe for the first year of operations,” said Christian Weiser, A-Heat CEO.
The management initially estimated a number of 900,000-1.1 million visitors for the first year. The complex has a capacity of 4,000 visitors simultaneously.
Therme Bucharest was opened in January this year following a EUR 50 million investment.
