James Longshore, American Actor-writer-director-producer and creator of the “Acting In English” program, will present here in Bucharest a preview of the next step in the evolution of his program, “Acting In English: Intensive” this weekend at Studio 7A, Blvd. Dacia 153-155, starting Friday evening at 7pm.
Next year, James Longshore will debut here in Romania the month long “Acting In English: Intensive” course which will explore techniques and methods not widely taught in Romania as well as aspects of an acting career and the industry that everyone who wants to act in American movies needs to know. This weekends preview will be an intensive, twenty hour introduction to Strasberg techniques, Meisner techniques, feature film screen play analysis and break down, comedy acting techniques, and vocal training in the neutral American accent. James Longshore has lived and worked in Romania since 2011. James is currently producing the American independent feature film “Say Goodbye To Hollywood”, set and filmed here in Bucharest. James co-wrote “Say Goodbye To Hollywood” with Director Bianca Mina of Vigilante Films, and will star in the film as Hollywood Director Jeff Rhoades alongside co-star Irina Noaptes. Since moving to Bucharest, Mr. Longshore created the “Acting In English” program, designed to prepare Romanian and International Actors for American and English language feature films shooting in Eastern Europe and abroad. He has worked as a dialogue coach with Castel on films like “What About Love” with Sharon Stone, appeared with Florin Calinescu on ProTV’s “Tanti Florica” acting in the Romanian language, and acted in Mandragora Movies Berlinale Award-Winning “Diaz: Don’t Clean Up This Blood”. Coach James Longshore has been an actor from the age of seven, starting with Shakespeare’s “A Winter’s Tale”, and been a writer/director/producer for over a decade. In Los Angeles, James founded and operated MadMan At Large Productions.
