(P) American actor to present Romanian actors interpretation of classic American films
This week, American actor/writer/director James Longshore will present "An Intimate Evening with Acting In English" James Longshore spends 3 months training Romanian and International Actors in American acting and film techniques.
These techniques include improvisation, character building, accent exercises, film acting methods, script breakdown, and how to promote yourself and find work as an actor. This program, created by James Longshore, is intended to give Romanian actors an advantage in casting for the many American and English-language films shooting here in Romania and throughout Eastern Europe. When the actors complete their training, they present their interpretation of scenes from Classic American films, and that is the show "An Intimate Evening".
James Longshore works here in Romania as an actor and dialogue coach on American films like Sharon Stone's "What About Love" and Universal's "The Wolfman". He has appeared in Italian film "Diaz: Don't Clean Up This Blood" and on PRO TV's "Tanti Florica". This will be the fourth presentation of scenes since 2012. Previous shows included scenes from "Juno" "The Graduate" "Dog Day Afternoon" and "Thelma And Louise" among others. This show will feature "Pulp Fiction", "American Psycho", "The Dark Knight" and more! This session' actors include successful model Matei Negrescu, Austrian actress Roxana Luca, and Gabriel Mansour as well as returning students Mihnea Savuica playing The Joker, and Jordanian actress Lubna Abu Quood.
The show is 2 nights only, is presented by Vigilante Films, will take place at new theatre Teatrul 7, located at Str. Popa Rosu Nr. 30, Sector 2, and is supported by Asociata Culturala 7. The show will happen with a preview night, Tuesday, July 9th at 8 pm, and offering discount tickets at 15 RON. Wednesday, July 10th at 8 pm, the show will also include the students graduation, and will cost 20 RON.
