The wine and truffle event, “Brunch-ul Boierului la Buzau” took place on the 11th of September at Conacul Candesti starting with 11:30 and was organized by City Compass Tours & Events and Terra Carpatica. The event supported the revitalization of one of the oldest mansions of Romania, the favourite place of I.L.Caragiale, Henri Coandă, Nicolae Grigorescu and many others.

For one day the historical mansion welcomed around 200 guests and recovered its former shine. The vivid and authentic atmosphere was created by traditional music and dances, fresh seasonal products from local producers, premium wine tasting, a vintage car parade, a Farmer’s Market, a photo exhibition, workshops for children, a demonstration of truffle hunting and a cooking show with truffles.

The culinary journey included delicacies prepared by Terra Carpatica using the slow concept food, such as: Eggplant salad with sesame paste and pomegranate syrup, Palm Tree with Babic and cheese, Bruschetta with goat cheese, apricot jam and homemade prosciutto, Slow cooked butterfly chicken stuffed with babic pasta and butter  (in a wood fire oven), Chicken skewers with plums and honey mustard sauce, Seeds salad with honey mustard sauce, Pear and rosemary tart, Yoghurt cake with homemade strawberry jam and mint.
