Parcel distribution company DPD Romania’s turnover up 24% in first nine months
Parcel distribution company DPD Romania ended the first nine months of the year with a turnover of some EUR 7.8 million (RON 34.8 million), up 24 percent compared to the same period in 2012, the company has announced.
The company, owned by La Poste via its subsidiary GeoPost, saw its profit go up 16 percent year-on-year at the end of September 2013.
DPD Romania’s positive trend was mainly sustained by the company’s constant investments in services.
The parcel distribution company ended 2012 with a turnover of EUR 10.1 million, up 26 percent against 2011. For this year, the company estimates its business to increase by 18 percent.
DPD Romania has been present on the local market since 2008. The company currently has 500 employees - including the franchises, 72 warehouses and delivers 15,000 packages daily.
