Partial election results: Romania's governing union gets all Bucharest district councils
The Social Liberal Union coalition won all the local councils in all Bucharest's districts, according to the partial results of the local elections on Sunday, June 10. In five of the six districts, USL took more than 50 percent of the vote, while in District 2, it received 46.2 percent of votes cast yesterday, according to the partial results.
In Bucharest, the turnout was of 44.26 percent. More about the exit poll results for Bucharest here. The Central Electoral Bureau will issue partial results all day on Monday and final results are expected on Monday evening ( June 11 ). According to the early results, the USL has clearly won most of the seats at city halls and county councils across Romania.
USL rose to power earlier this year, when the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) was overthrown after a vote of no confidence in the Parliament.
