Paul Anka to sing at NYE party in Romania
Canadian singer Paul Anka will perform at the already famous New Year's Eve party organized by the Bucharest District 5 mayor Marian Vanghelie. To be held at Romexpo, the event, nicknamed Vanghelion, which is now at its 11th edition, will gather around 6,000 people, who have paid RON 100 for an entry ticket.
Paul Anka will share the stage with Arabian artist Amr Diab. The event will start at 20:00 and end at 6:30 on January 1, 2014. Romanian artists too will join on the stage: Stefan Banica, Horia Brenciu, Connect-R, Deepcentral, Smiley, Nicole Cherry, Loredana, Delia, Antonia, Alex Velea, Pepe, Puya, Marcel Pavel, Aurelian Temisan, Cabron, Corina, Mandinga, precum si formatiile Vama and Voltaj.
Tickets were on sale starting Saturday, December 27,in the morning, and were sold out until the end of the day. Tickets were sold via employees' unions, teachers' unions and the social office within the District 5 City Hall.
Paul Anka is a Canadian singer, now 73, who achieved fame in the 50s to 70s. He is a singer, song writer and actor. Some of his most famous songs include "Diana", "Lonely Boy", "Put Your Head on My Shoulder", and "(You're) Having My Baby".
