Online payment integrator PayU estimates that over 5 million Romanians, or nearly one in two Romanians who have Internet access, will take advantage of Black Friday this year.

"We expect that half of these will pay online for their Black Friday shopping," said PayU country manager Romania Daniel Nicolescu, cited by local Dailybusiness.ro.

Both the company's processing capacity and security infrastructure have been adjusted to accommodate the high volume of orders. PayU made an almost EUR 500,000 investment starting with September 2013 to prepare for the last Black Friday editions (2013 and 2014).
