Peek & Cloppenburg opens largest store in Romania

German fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg will open a 5,200 sqm store in the AFI Cotroceni shopping center in Bucharest. It will be the retailer’s largest store in Romania, covering two floors.

Peek & Cloppenburg entered the local market in 2008. It currently owns five stores in Romania, three of them in Bucharest, in Baneasa Shopping City, Mega Mall and Promenada Mall, one in the Maritimo Shopping Center in Constanta, and one in Shopping City Timisoara. The retailer’s portfolio includes about 500 brands such as Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Marc Cain, Ralph Lauren or CK.

The German company had a turnover of RON 208.8 million (EUR 45.6 million) in Romania last year. Its net profit reached RON 29.4 million (EUR 6.4 million).

The AFI Cotroceni mall has completed the expansion work this year. It has reached a total retail surface of 90,000 sqm, becoming the biggest mall in Romania.
