Israeli president Shimon Peres will start his first official visit to Romania today as part of his official tour in the region. Bulgaria was also included in his tour. Peres will meet Romanian president Traian Basescu and will take part in a commemorative ceremony for the six Israeli military who died in July after a helicopter crash in Bucegi mountains.

Linda Griffin is the new general manager of the Athénée Palace Hilton Bucharest, the hotel has announced. She will start at the helm of the hotel on September 1st, following the departure of Friedrich W. Niemann. Niemann has been running the five-star hotel for the last five years.
Real estate developer Atrium European Real Estate has appointed Jorg Banzhaf as chief investment officer. Banzhaf will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of Atrium’s planned investment program as the Company continues to seek out opportunities for growth.
Laurentiu Tulvan is the new industrial director with dairy maker Danone Romania. The company has also appointed Irina Fadeeva as head of the distribution chain.

Hagger has been working for Ringier in Romania since March 2008 as the general manager for the Romanian subsidiary. Ringier is yet to announce who will take his seat.
