Philips Healthcare appoints Romanian to lead operations in Southeast Europe
Philips Healthcare named Romanian Alexandru Popescu as general manager for Southeast Europe. He previously held the position of executive director Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova at Amethyst Radiotherapy Center.
Alexandru Popescu’s main objectives from the new position include the strategic and operational development of the business, as well as consolidating the company’s position as leader in health care. He will develop and implement the company’s strategy in Romania and in the other countries in Southeast Europe where Philips Healthcare is present.
Popescu has an experience of 15 years in health and trade industries, specializing in acquisitions and investments, branding and identity, as well as business development.
During his career, he held management positions in healthcare companies such as ISIDA, Regina Maria, Euromedic and Medicover.
He graduated from the Law Faculty within the Bucharest University and holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Ottawa. His full CV is here.
