Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta met last week with Joe Rainey, president of Eastern Hemisphere with Halliburton, one of the world’s leading companies in the oil services industry.

Ponta encouraged the company’s management to develop investments in Romania considering the possible opportunities in oil production from the mature fields, and in operations at the Romanian Black Sea coast.

“Halliburton is welcomed in Romania and we’d like it to diversify activities here, in the oil and gas industry,” said Ponta.
