PM: Romania can invest in Moldovan energy projects
Romania is now able to invest in the neighboring Republic of Moldova in energy interconnection projects, so that the neighbor country can have two supply sources for gas and electricity, said Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta.
He was on a visit to the Republic of Moldova on May 21.
Romania’s neighbor should always have two supply sources and choose the one which is cheaper and safer.
“Romania is capable, it has now the necessary resources - economic growth, our companies had in 2014 important profits - and can invest in the Republic of Moldova,” Ponta said, upon meeting his Moldovan counterpart Chiril Gaburici.
Ponta’s last visit to the neighboring country was in October last year.
