Polisano invests EUR 60 mln in Polipharma Industries drug factory in central Romania
Drug factory Polipharma Industries in Sibiu, central Romania, will start producing oncology products next year, reports local Wall-street.ro.
Polisano Group invested EUR 60 million in the drug factory, in both the generic drugs department, and in the oncology department, whose inauguration is scheduled for next year. Of this investment, EUR 20 million came from European Funds, while the rest was provided by the factory’s owners, Ioana Vonica and her late husband Ilie Vonica, who killed himself this summer.
Polipharma Industries’ turnover is expected to reach RON 15 million (some EUR 3.4 million) this year, while for 2015 it’s estimated at RON 40 million (EUR 9 million), according to Tudor Iures, general manager of Polipharma Industries.
