Polish discounter Pepco enters Romanian market
Polish discount retailer Pepco, which sells clothes, accessories, toys and discount household items, is entering the Romanian market and has already started a recruitment campaign, according to Economica.net.
Pepco is part of African holding Pepkor and has a network of 3,000 stores in 13 countries across Europe, Africa and Australia.
The brand Pepco is present in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and soon also in Romania. In the region, it manages over 550 stores and has 'rapid expansion plans;, according to the company.
For Romania, the company is now hiring an HR specialist, an IT specialist, and an operations assistant.
The same group runs Best & Less in Australia, and Pep, Ackermans, John Craig, Dunns in Africa. In Poland, it has 400 stores, and over 4,000 employees. The brand’s expansion in the region started in 2013.
