Polish firm aims to finance Romanian SMEs with EUR 100 mln
Polish company Credit Value Investments wants to grant financings of up to EUR 100 million to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Romania.
The company, which is a market leader in the private debt market in Central and Eastern Europe, sees in Romania “a substantial potential demand which hasn’t yet been addressed,” reports local Wall-street.ro.
Private debt is an alternative to the financing granted by banks.
“We are interested in Romania because it’s the second largest market in CEE, after Poland,” said Ciprian Nicolae, director of Credit Value Investments Poland.
Nicolae said that the company is looking for companies with a feasible business plan, with a good track record in terms of implementing the business plans, and with a financial history that could suggest reimbursement possibilities. The companies than can apply for financing are small and medium-sized companies in sectors such as industry, telecommunications, health or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), with financing needs of EUR 3-15 million.
