Porsche Macan, the second SUV of the Porsche brand, was recently launched in Romania, and the company has already sold the first unit.

The first Porsche Macan, priced at some EUR 65,000, will be delivered to its Romanian owner on April 5, according to Adrian Pascu, brand manager of Porsche, quoted by HotNews.ro. Romania is one of the first countries in Europe where Porsche launches its new model.

Posche also sells its first SUV, the Cayenne, in Romania, and its officials expect some Cayenne owners to 'migrate' to the new Macan. Overall, the sales target for all Porsche models in Romania is to shift at least 150 units for this year.

So far, the Cayenne model accounts for 70 percent of Porsche's sales in Romania, but things are expected to be even out, with Macan and Cayenne sales at par in the future, according to Adrian Pascu, quoted by HotNews.

Porsche formally launched the Macan at both the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show and the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, and European sales started in spring 2014. The car is produced at the car maker's factory in Leipzig, Germany.
