Porsche Engineering leases 3,500 sqm of offices in Cluj-Napoca
Porsche Engineering Romania, a software developer for the auto industry that is part of German group Porsche, has leased 3,500 sqm of office space in Cluj-Napoca, the biggest software development hub in Romania outside Bucharest.
“Cluj-Napoca is Europe’s Silicon Valley and Porsche Engineering’s decision to develop here is logic,” said Marius Mihailovici, location manager Porsche Engineering Romania.
The company will move its headquarters to the Vivido office project, where it will immediately occupy 2,200 sqm of office space. The remaining office space, up to 3,500 sqm, will be taken over by 2020, according to real estate consultancy firm Coldwell Banker Transilvania, which brokered the deal.
The new office space leased by Porsche Engineering Romania will allow the company to expand its local team more than three times, a further increase of the number of specialists working in the company being already foreseen for 2020. The company opened its local office in 2016, with seven employees.
