Portuguese investor plans 250MW wind farm in southern Romania

A Romanian investment vehicle controlled by Portuguese asset manager RNVQ FCR (70%) in association with two of the shareholders of Romanian group Renovatio Trading plans to build a wind farm with an installed power of over 250 MW in southern Romania (Calarasi County), Profit.ro reported.

The estimated deadline for commissioning the new renewable energy production capacity is the end of 2025.

The park will have 60 turbines generating electricity and will occupy an area of over 15 hectares, located outside the villages Nicolae Bălcescu, Valea Argovei and Gurbănești. In advance, a weather tower for wind measurements will be erected in the site area.

Renovatio Trading is a Romanian company with activities in the production, trading and supply of energy, as well as in the management of energy assets, which also operates a network of charging stations for electric cars.
