Romanian Govt. resumes extending guarantees for mortgage loans
Romania’s National Loan Guarantee Fund for SMEs (FNGCIMM) announced the launch of a new session of the home purchase programme Prima Casa, after it received the green light from the Finance Ministry. A limit of up to RON 2 billion (EUR 425 million) worth of guarantees was approved.
The terms of the programme remain the same, despite the Government’s pledges to give it a more pronounced “social dimension.”
"For 10 years, the program has given young people up to the age of 35 the chance to buy a home. By the end of 2018, FNGCIMM granted over 260,000 guarantees for the purchase or construction of housing throughout Romania. We are ready to launch the 11th step of the program with improved operational processes," said Gheorghe Lapadat, General Manager of FNGCIMM, according to Hotnews.ro.
Prima Casa 2019 programme will be carried out through 15 financing banks: BRD-GSG, BCR, Banca Transilvania, CEC Bank, ING Bank, Raiffeisen Bank, OTP Bank, Bank Romanian Bank, Unicredit Bank, Garanti Bank, First Bank, Marfin Bank, Credit Agricole, Leumi Bank and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank.
