The Romanian Ministry of European Funds (MFE) has allotted EUR 50 million for professional training of staff performing transplants, according to a statement of the institution, cited by local Agerpres.

The eligible target group includes medical personnel – at least 500 doctors and 1,000 nurses. The eligible beneficiary for funding is the Academy of Medical Science, a public institution coordinated by the Ministry of Health.
