Promenade areas in Romanian seaside resorts to be revamped with EUR 10 mln

Mangalia-Saturn and Jupiter-Neptun promenade areas, on the Black Sea coast, in Romania will be revamped with European funds, the total investment amounting to some EUR 10 million.

The rehabilitation work will start in early-2015, according to a statement of Mangalia City Hall. The local budget contribution in the two projects will be of 2%, the rest being European funds.

At Neptun, the project includes the redesign of the area between the beach and the lakes, granite for the pavement of public spaces, benches and green areas. It also includes the construction of a water fountain.

In the case of Mangalia-Saturn promenade, the revamping work includes an observation point, landscaping, public lighting and stairs to the beach.

A total of 3.5 km will be rehabilitated and works are to be completed by the end of next year.
