Prosecutors notified on possible offenses at the Romanian Post
Romania’s Communications Ministry has notified the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) on possible criminal deeds at the Romanian Post, after the ministry’s control body had discovered several irregularities.
These were found in the procedures for IT&C public procurement, in concluding rental contracts, and in the procedures for vehicle acquisition, reports local Hotnews.ro.
The report’s conclusions were sent on Thursday to the National Anticorruption Directorate. The control had been carried out between August and September this year.
On August 31, the Communications Ministry ordered a comprehensive control on the bonuses granted to the executive directors of the Romanian Post and the companies in which the post is a shareholder. The ministry later extended the control until September 30 due to the high number of documents that had to be checked.
