All the public employees in Romania will get an electronic holiday voucher which they will be able to use anywhere and anytime for a holiday in the country, until the end of this year, tourism minister Mircea Dobre told local Profit.ro.

The holiday vouchers will be issued around July 1. Each voucher will have the value of a minimum wage, namely RON 1,450 (EUR 322), the minister said.

He added that this year will be the first one when employees in the public sector will get these holiday vouchers. The minister wants these vouchers to be issued online, not on paper, so that they would be issued more easily and at lower costs.

The holiday vouchers are one of the Government’s solution to boost the local tourism sector.
