PwC returns as auditor for biggest Romanian bank
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) will return as auditor for BCR, Romania’s biggest bank, replacing EY, the bank’s auditor for the last 10 years.
It is not the first time BCR works with PwC, which was its auditor between 2011 and 2003, when it was replaced by KPMG, and two years later, by EY.
The recent decision covers the whole Erste group, BCR’s owner, reports local Profit.ro. PwC was also a consultant for Erste in the past when selling big non-performing loans packages.
Via its Austrian division, PwC will audit annual financial results, administrator reports and consolidated financial results for the Erste Group in the 2017 financial year.
