PwC: 71% of Romanian companies migrated to the cloud at least for part of processes
Approximately three-quarters of the companies in Romania (71.4%) that participated in a survey conducted by PwC initiated the implementation of the cloud either for several departments or for certain processes and are planning a broader adoption in the next two years. The percentage is similar to the average recorded at the CEE level.
Only 12% of respondents in Romania stated that they have all their activities in the cloud (all-in on the cloud), which means, among other things, advanced service development capabilities and workload optimization, above the 8% average recorded in CEE.
At the same time, over 38% of the Romanian respondents aim to switch all operations to the cloud in the next two years, and 43% want to move half or more of the operations, according to the local report based on the "Cloud Business Survey" conducted by PwC Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).
As it is still at the beginning of the road, modernization is the main reason for using the cloud for 42.9% of companies in Romania and for almost half (49%) of companies in CEE.
In the next 12 months, the capacities that Romanian companies want to develop in the cloud are data analysis (66.7%), cyber security (64.3%), storage (57%) and artificial intelligence and machine learning (47.6%).
