Car dealer Radacini Group has taken over a showroom in Ploiesti, previously owned by Cardinal Motors, becoming the sole authorized dealer for Volkswagen and repair shop for Volkswagen and Audi in Romania’s Prahova county, following an agreement with Porsche Romania.

The value of the transaction was of some EUR 2 million, according to local news agency Mediafax.

The multifunctional complex - showroom and car service was taken over in November and the location will operate under the name Darius Motors.

“The location has an area of over 13,000 sqm. The Volkswagen showroom has 500 sqm and the Volkswagen and Audi car service has 1,500 sqm,” reads a statement from the company.

This is the sixth city the dealer is present in, after Bucharest, Braila, Brasov, Constanta and Galati.

Radacini’s portfolio includes car brands such as Opel, Chevrolet, Mazda, Suzuki, Citroen, Cadillac, Corvette and Hummer. The company’s network currently comprises 18 locations across the country.
