Rainer Trischak becomes new co-head of Porsche Romania
Gunther Seifert, the co- head of Porsche Romania, will end his mandate on October 1 and be replaced by Rainer Trischak. Seifert, who has been running to the Romanian company for the last five years, will become general manager of Porsche Informatik in Salzburg, Austria.
Trischak, 41, will become co-general manager, along side Brent Valmar, of a company which posted a turnover of EUR 376 million last year and a profit of EUR 20.6 million, according to data from the Finance Ministry. Trischak has been the product, management and planning director for the Volkswagen brand with Porsche Austria. “Romania is a different market than Austria's, where car sales are somehow constant. In Romania we talk about a market diminishing after an economic boom. I will have to learn this market, and my priority is to increase the market share of our brands,” said Trischak.
Porsche Romania is led by two general managers. The other position is occupied by Brent Valmar. The company was created in 1997 and is the importer of brands like Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen, Bentley, Porsche and Seat.
