RCI Leasing lands EUR 0.5 mln contract for commercial cars with Romanian Post
Leasing company RCI Leasing Romania has signed a EUR 480,000 contract with the state-owned Romanian Post under which it will deliver 35 commercial vehicles.
The contract is valid for three years, according to the bid win announcement.
RCI, a subsidiary of RCI Banque, the financial division of Renault group, was the only bidder in this acquisition.
The Romanian Post is the largest postal services operator in Romania, with a network of over 5,600 units and over 28,500 employees. The company, majority owned by the state with 75 percent, has been reorganizing in order to achieve profitability, before being eventually privatized. Earlier in September, it said it would lay off around 11 percent of its staff. At the end of 2012 the company had debts of some EUR 127 million (RON 568 million) and a turnover of around EUR 269 million (RON 1.2 billion).
