Real estate company Willbrook International is currently negotiating to take over Romanian TV station The Money Channel, according to Romanain magazine Capital. The acquisition should be finalized in August, according to Daiana Voicu, managing partner of Willbrook International. The company, which is the developer of Cathedral Plaza, is also the owner of Platinum Business and Convention Center office building, where Realitatea Media group, the owner of The Money Channel, will move its headquarters from the beginning of October this year.

The majority shareholder in Realitatea Media group is real estate investor Elan Schwartzenberg, while the investor behind Willbrook is Eyal Ofer, who has recently said he was planning to sue Romania at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg over the stalled Cathedral Plaza project.

The Money Channel business TV station was launched in 2006.
