Real estate transactions in Romania increase to over EUR 300 mln in first quarter
The value of real estate transactions in Romania increased significantly in the first quarter of the year, to EUR 303 million, which placed the local market third in Central and Eastern Europe, after Poland and Russia.
The transactions increased both in value and in volume. Between January and March 2014, recorded nine property deals were recorded, according to CBRE Romania.
Last year, Romania attracted real estate investments of EUR 229 million, up by a quarter compared to the year before, while in the first quarter of last year, they stood at EUR 85 million.
Poland was the main target for real estate investors in the first quarter of 2014, attracting investment of EUR 893 million, up 40 percent year-on-year.
