Renault opens testing center in Titu
Car maker Renault today inaugurates the Technical Testing Center in Titu, with a one-year delay on the deadline initially announced. Romanian president Traian Basescu will attend the opening ceremony, along with Renault's production director Patrick Pelata.
The new Renault models will be tested in Titu, as well as various equipments before being installed on cars. Road test tracks will also be inaugurated.
The investment in this center was started in 2008 and stopped at the beginning of 2009 but re-started in June 2009 when more financing was available. The European Investment Bank (EIB) offered a EUR 83 million loan to develop the center in Titu.
