Report: Over half of cars checked in traffic in Romania had problems
More than half of the cars checked in traffic by the Romanian Auto Registry (RAR) and the Romanian Police in the first six months of this year haven’t met the technical conditions, according to a RAR report, quoted by local Mediafax.
The report on the traffic control conducted between January 3 and June 30 shows that over 37,200 vehicles were checked at a national level, and 56.75 percent of them had an inconsistent technical status. Over 73 percent of the total vehicles checked in this period were passenger cars.
The national auto park currently has some 5.7 million vehicles, out of which 4.48 million are cars.
