Retailer C&A to open three new stores in Romania
International fashion retailer C&A has signed a lease contract with Iulius Mall Group and will open three stores in the Palas urban center in Iasi, in Iulius Mall Timisoara and in Iulius Mall Suceava, according to the company.
In Iasi, the C&A store will occupy about 1,380 sqm on the ground floor in the Palas Mall. The project should be inaugurated this fall. The new C&A store in Iulius Mall Timisoara will have 1,700 sqm, while the one in Iulius Mall in Suceava will occupy 1,225 sqm.
C&A is the abbreviation of the two founders of the brand's names, Clemens & August Brenninkmeyer, the two brothers who founded the company in 1841. Today, C&A has 1,400 stores in 19 countries. The chain entered the Romanian market in 2009 and currently runs eight stores in Romania, according to data on its website. Romanian developer Iulius Group's portfolio includes Iulius Mall Timisoara, Iulius Mall Iasi, Iulius Mall Cluj and Iulius Mall Suceava.
